Consider a Degree in Marketing

The program’s core curriculum of general marketing courses includes marketing, advertising, management supervision, professional selling, international marketing, and microcomputer marketing applications. The Marketing curriculum combines classroom instruction, practical experiences, coordinated part-time employment, and internships.

These programs offer specialized training for career advancement and employment to students interested in careers in advertising, professional sales, marketing research, business management, business promotion, and other marketing jobs.

Associate in Science Degree in Marketing 
City College offers an Associate in Science degree wth a Marketing major. The marketing curriculum consists of nine courses and can be completed one class at a time, or in as few as two semesters if taking a full-time load. To be eligible for the degree, students must also meet general education and other graduation  requirements.  
 
Marketing Certificate of Achievement 
Students may receive a credit Marketing Certificate of Achievement by completing six courses with a final grade of C-plus (2.50 grade point average) or higher, plus three additional business classes. There are a total of nine courses required for completion of this certificate. 

Associate in Science Degree in Marketing 
City College offers an Associate in Science degree wth a Marketing major. Degree Curriculum 
The Curriculum in Marketing, a two-year course of study, offers students interested in careers in advertising, professional sales, marketing research, marketing management, promotion, and other marketing jobs specialized training for career advancement and employment.  Students will be able to: 
 Create an integrated marketing communications plan which includes promotional strategies and measures of effectiveness 
 Identify core concepts of marketing and the role of marketing in business and society 
 Formulate marketing strategies that incorporate psychological and sociological factors which influence consumers 
 Analyze marketing problems and provide solutions based on a critical examination of marketing information 
 Apply knowledge and skills to real-world experiences on the job 
 Satisfy academic transfer requirements to institutions of higher learning
